Women's Lacrosse Returns Home

Baltimore, Md. - Wednesday the Greyhounds end a four game road swing as they return to Diane Geppi-Aikens to host George Mason. Loyola looks to end a three game skid with a win over the 1-5 Patriots.

The Greyhounds hold a 14-0 since the teams first meeting in 1994.

The Patriots are currently 1-5 overall and are led by Sarah Bryant and Kristy Manas. Bryant posts nine goals and three assists while Manas has six goals and six assists. In overall goal scoring Laura King ranks at the top with 10 goals.

Rachel Shuck leads the Greyhounds in overall scoring with 24 points from eight goals and 16 assists. Kate McHarg is second in points but first in goals with 17 goals and an assist. Sydney Greene is third in scoring with 16 goals. Freshman Kate Filippelli and Maura Kenny round out the top five with 14 and 11 points respectively.

Laura Carper leads the Greyhounds in caused turnovers with eight. McHarg is the leader at center with 17 draw controls. McHarg and Filippelli lead in groundballs with 20 a piece while Carper follows with 18 and Kristin McKay is close by at 18.

Both Loyola and George Mason have faced North Carolina and Boston University this season. The Patriots fell by respective scores of 10-3 and 11-10 in overtime. The Tarheels defeated the Greyhounds 9-8 while the Terriers were victorious in a 16-9 contest.
