Women's Lacrosse Visits No. 2 Princeton

Baltimore, Md. - Sunday, the Greyhounds travel to Princeton to meet the No. 2 Tigers at the Class of `52 Stadium. The No. 1 Greyhounds are currently 2-2 while Princeton is 1-0.

The series between Loyola and Princeton is tied 3-3. The Greyhounds won the first meeting, in 2000 by a score of 6-5. The Greyhounds won again in 2001, 13-9. The Tigers won 10-6 in 2002. The teams met twice in 2003 with the Greyhounds winning a 9-8 overtime contest in the regular season and Princeton defeating Loyola 5-3 in the Final Four. Last season, the Tigers earned a 9-5 victory over Loyola.

Princeton's only contest thus far this season was a 9-6 win over Johns Hopkins on March 5. Lindsay Biles led with four goals and an assiss. Kathleen Miller added two goals and an assist with Katie Lamonica-Lewis Elizabeth Pillion and Mary Minshall each tallying a goal. Pillion also recorded four draw controls and three groundballs vs. Hopkins.

Rachel Shuck leads the Greyhounds in overall scoring with 16 points from four goals and 12 assists. Kate McHarg is second in points but first in goals with 10 goals and an assist. Sydney Greene ranks third in scroing with nine goals. Freshman Kate Filippelli and Maura Kenny round out the top five with nine (eight goals and an assist) and seven points (six goals and an assist) respectively. Laura Carper leads the Greyhounds in caused turnovers with seven. McHarg is the leader at center with six draw controls. Greene and Liz Peregoy re second eith five each. Filippelli is best at ground balls with 15, while McHarg is close behind at 14.
