Stone Earns BIG EAST Honor Roll Laurels

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Loyola senior defender Kristen Stone was named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll today after picking up a career-high six ground balls in the Greyhounds' game against Towson.

Stone, who was named the BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, totaled nine ground balls and nine ground balls and four caused turnovers in Loyola's two games last week.

She recorded all four of the caused turnovers against Towson.

This season, Stone leads the Greyhounds (1-4) with 14 ground balls and is second on the team with five caused turnovers.

The Greyhounds pick up non-conference action on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, when they host Delaware at 3 p.m. on Diane Geppi-Aikens Field.
