McHarg Named to Tewaaraton Watch List

Batimore, Md. - Junior captain Kate McHarg was named to the 2006 Pre-Season Tewaaraton Watch List. The players on this list were nominated by coaches across all three divisions and are early season hopefuls for the 2006 Tewaaraton Trophy. The Tewaaraton Trophy is awarded to the top male and female varsity collegiate lacrosse player in the nation at the close of the season.

McHarg, an All-America selection last season, had a breakout year in 2005. She finished the year as her team's scoring leader with 58 goals and four assists. McHarg also added 34 gorundballs, 44 draw controls and seven caused turnovers in 2005. This pre-season she was named to the Pre-Season All-BIG EAST squad.

McHarg and the Greyhounds open their season Saturday, Feb. 25 by hosting Delaware at 12:00 on Diane Geppi-Aikens Field.
