Women's Basketball Travels to Villanova Thursday

Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhounds return from a holiday break Thursday night to face Villanova on the road. Loyola is 4-6 to date this season while the Wildcats are 5-6. The teams will tip-off at 7:30 at Villanova's The Pavilion.

ABOUT THE `HOUNDS
Loyola is currently led in scoring (14.8), rebounding (6.7) and assists (2.8) by senior Jill Glessner. Classmate Brittany Dunn follows with 10.4 points and 2.5 assists a game while leading the team in steals with 1.4 a game. Junior Meghan Wood is third at 9.5 points and is second in rebounding at 6.4 a game. She leads the team in field-goal percentage at .500 (37-for-74) for the season. The remaining Greyhounds ranging in scoring from 6.1 points and 1.7 points a game.

SERIES RECORD VS. VILLANOVA
The Greyhounds and Wildcats have met just three times in the past. The first meeting was during the 1977-78 season with Villanova winning 82-67. The next season Loyola won at home by a score of 77-68. And in the last meeting between the two teams was in the 1979-80 season with the Wildcats winning 76-50.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Jackie Adamshick leads Villanova with a near double-double of 15 points and 9.4 rebounds a game. She also adds a team-high 2.5 assists a game. Adamnshick is followed in scoring by Lisa Karcic's 12.8 points and six rebounds a game. Maria Getty added 8.7 points per game.

COMMON OPPONENTS
Villanova and Loyola have four common opponents this season, three of which are the Greyhounds MAAC opponents. The Wildcats already faced the MAAC's Fairfield winning 51-37 on the road and Marist winning 69-64 in overtime at home. The Greyhounds have only met up with Marist in MAAC play, falling 60-50 on the road. Villanova has also faced Penn, winning 57-50 at Penn, while the Greyhounds next game after the Wildcats is versus the Quakers at home on Dec. 31. Meanwhile Villanova's next game on Dec. 30 is against one last MAAC opponents, Manhattan.
