Loyola University Maryland will host a celebration of women and their contributions to, and ongoing participation in, athletics on February 26, 2012, when the Greyhounds' women's basketball team will host Marist College.
This event is open to girls from kindergarten through eighth grade and will feature exciting events starting at 2 p.m. This event includes free admission to the basketball game at 4 p.m. and ends with an autograph session and ice cream social with the players.
Check-in time starts at 2 p.m. in McGuire Hall in the Loyola's Andrew White Student Center. From there, participants will tour the athletic facilities and interact with athletes from Loyola University's nine varsity women's sports and enjoy face painting, tattoos, spirit poster design and more.
The girls also will be treated to free pizza while they prepare to cheer on the Loyola women's basketball team as they take on Marist.
All activities are free of charge, and participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and more.
