Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhounds are looking to start their first win streak of the season on Monday when visiting St. Francis (Pa.). Loyola topped Mount St. Mary's Saturday for a 2-4 overall record and look to top the Red Flash (3-3) for back-to-back wins.
ABOUT THE `HOUNDS
Loyola is currently led in scoring (15), rebounding (7.8) and assists (3.3) by senior Jill Glessner. Classmate Brittany Dunn follows with 9.3 points and leads the team in steals with 11 this season. Junior Meghan Wood is third at 9.2 points and is second in rebounding at 6.3 a game. Tynisha Davis is fourth in scoring at 8.2 points while freshman Erica DiClemente (7.2) and Kaitlin Grant (5.0 points and 5.0 rebounds) round out the leading scorers.
SERIES RECORD VS. ST. FRANCIS (Pa.)
Loyola holds a 7-2 advantage in the series with St. Francis (Pa.). Prior to last season, the team's hadn't met since the 1989-99 season. The split conference play that year with the Red Flash winning the first meeting and Loyola winning the second.
SCOUTING THE RED FLASH
Christie Ayers leads St. Francis (Pa.) in scoring with 10.5 points a game. Kanisha Garrett follows with 9.8 points and a team-second 4.7 rebounds a game. Shawna Scott is third at 9.3 points and 3.8 assists a game. Beth Halter rounds out the top scorers with 7.5 points and 6.7 rebounds a game.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
The Greyhounds topped the Red Flash last season at home by a score of 69-57. In that game Brittany Dunn led with 16 points while Jill Glessner added 14 points and nine rebounds. Tynisha Davis scored a career-high 15 points.
The lone common opponent for Loyola and St. Francis (Pa.) is Mount St. Mary's who the Greyhounds topped Saturday. The Red Flash face their Northeast conference opponents on Jan. 22 and Feb. 10.
