Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host St. Francis (Pa.)

The Greyhounds return home Saturday fresh-off their first win of the 2005-06 season at LIU, 84-75. Loyola and first-year head coach Joe Logan are still looking for their first home win as they host 0-6 St. Francis.

St. Francis (Pa.) is currently 0-6 on the season. The Red Flash opponents are currently outscoring them 453-280. Leading the way for St. Francis is Amber Hein with 11.8 points after a career-high 22 points against Toledo Tuesday. The remained of the Red Flash squad range from seven to zero points. Kanisha Garrett leads on the boards with 5/2 while Hein is the assist and steals leader with 15 and nine respectively. Beth halter has a team-high seven blocks.

Loyola currently ha three players averaging double-digits with junior Brittany Dunn leading the way at 13.3 points a game. Senior Katie Scherle is coming off the bench to average a second-best 12.7 points per game while junior Jill Glessner is third in points (10.0 per game) but first in rebounds with seven a contest. Rounding out the top five are seniors Jackie Valderas and Lauren Troupe with 8.7 points per outing each. Valderas is second in boards with 5.7 a game and first in blocks with four on the season.
