CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland women’s basketball freshman Lisa Mirarchi was named Anaconda Sports Rookie of the Week by the Patriot League office Monday. Junior Kara Marshall was also included in the league's honorable mention performances.
Mirarchi, who earned the first conference honor of her career and the first for a women’s basketball player this season, averaged 13 points on 6-12 shooting, hitting one three-pointer while making her first career start in a 72-62 win over Howard University on Wednesday evening. The freshman recorded back-to-back career-high points last week, while also shooting a remarkable 93-percent from the free throw line.
The West Chester, Pa., native connected on a career-high seven free throws against Pitt on Saturday, grabbing a career-high four rebounds against the Panthers, in the same game.

Loyola returns to action on Tuesday night when the Greyhounds travel to Cornell University for a 7 p.m. matchup.
