Women's Basketball Travels to American

Baltimore, Md. - Friday evening the Loyola College women's basketball team travels to American University for the second game of the 2004-05 season. This is the 14th contest between the Greyhounds and the Eagles in the history of both programs.

The Greyhounds are 0-1 so far this season with a 64-59 loss to Delaware last Sunday. Sophomore Jill Glessner led Loyola in that contest with 10 points. She was followed by Krystle Harrington with nine points and seven rebounds.

The Eagles are currently 2-1 this season with a wins over William & Mary (78-59) and Mount St. Mary's (67-52) and a loss to Kent State (72-53).

American holds a 9-3 advantage in the series with the Greyhounds. However, Loyola has swept the last two meetings including a 64-59 victory at Reitz Arena on November 30, 2003. The last Eagle win over the Greyhounds came in the 1983-84 season.

Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Bender Arena.
