Hoops Teams Host Late Night With The Hounds

BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's basketball teams hosted Late Night With The Hounds on Thursday in Reitz Arena, drawing an energized student crowd to the Greyhounds' homecourt.

After both teams were introduced, several Loyola students participated in various contests with members of the teams. Jac Bullock won the Qdoba Shootout, taking home free burritos for a year.

Will Trainor defeated Matt Winkler to capture the Chick-Fil-A Shootout title, garnering free Chick-Fil-A for a year from the Cockeysville location.

Both teams scrimmaged, as well, as fans got their first opportunity to see the teams in action.

The men's team opens its 2012-2013 schedule with an exhibition game on Monday, November 5, against Seton Hill, before they open the regular season on Friday, November 9, against Binghamton at 7:30 p.m. Loyola's women start the year on the road at Hartford on November 9 before welcoming the Maryland to Retiz Arena on Sunday, November 11.
