Three Women's Hoops Players Participate In Graduation

BALTIMORE - Three Loyola University Maryland women's basketball players were among the Loyola Class of 2011 that participated in Commencement at Baltimore's First Mariner Arena in May.

Melissa Bangay earned her bachelor of arts degree, while Meredith Tolley received her bachelor of business administration degree. Candice Walker completed her bachelor of arts degree requirements in December 2010 and walked with her classmates at the ceremony.

Bangay, who was a communications major with an emphasis in advertising and public relations, played in 70 games during her Loyola career and recorded 118 points and 88 rebounds.

Tolley leaves Loyola as the school's all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 150. A starter in 95 of 120 games she played in during her career, Tolley earned her degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance.

Walker, who will return to the court and play as a graduate student in 2010-2011, has played in 97 games since coming to Loyola. She has scored 502 points and has 198 assists. Walker was a communications major with a digital media emphasis.
