BALTIMORE, MD - Krystle Harrington was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week announced by the conference office Monday.
Harrington averaged 18 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals in two huge wins for Loyola to close out the regular season. She scored a career-high of 20 points in a 60-49 victory over Saint Peter's, surpassing he previous high of 13 points. Against Fairfield, Harrington was on fire, hitting 8-of-10 shots from the field for 16 points in the 75-53 win. She also added six assists, five rebounds and two steals.
This is Harrington's first MAAC award in her career. This season she is averaging 8.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.2 steals a game.
The Greyhounds finished the regular season at 13-14 overall and 9-9 in the conference. Loyola is the fifth seed heading into the MAAC Tournament and will face No. 10 Rider in the first round of the tournament on Thursday, March 4 at noon.
