Tonight's Game
Tonight the Loyola College Greyhounds will face the Red Foxes' of Marist. Marist is currently ranked at the top of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings with a 10-4 conference record, 14-9 overall. Loyola, under the direction of third-year head coach Candy Cage, are fifth at 7-6 in the conference and 11-11 on the season.

The Series vs. Marist
The series between these two teams is tied at 11-11. Marist defeated the Greyhounds in Poughkeepsie earlier this season, 64-56 as well as at home at the close of the 2002-03 season, 72-69 at Reitz Arena. The last Greyhound victory over the Red Foxes' was a 68-61 over-time thriller in the beginning of the 2002-03 season at Marist.

Greyhounds Last Time Out
Riverdale, NY - Senior captain Lindsay Cobb led the Loyola College women's basketball to a nail biting 60-59 victory over Manhattan Sunday afternoon at Draddy Gymnasium. The Greyhounds improve to 11-11 and 7-6 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference while the Lady Jaspers fall to 8-14 and 4-10 in the conference.

After exchanging baskets for the opening minutes of play, the Jaspers held a 13-12 lead at 13:00 before Loyola went on a 10-0 run, holding the Lady Jaspers scoreless for over four minutes of play.

Manhattan got back within four minutes later before Cobb established a strong 10-point Loyola lead with seven points in the last five minutes of the half, including a three at 1:17. The Greyhounds were up 36-26 at the half.

In the second half, Manhattan surged on a 14-0 run to claim the lead at 43-40. Cobb nailed her second three of the day to tie the game at 43. On the following Loyola play, Meghan Wood took the feed from Krystle Harrington and was fouled, completing a three-point play for a 46-43 lead with 12:27 remaining.

The squads tied again at 47 and 49 points before Manhattan took the lead again, 53-49 on a pair of free-throws from Rosalee Mason and a basket and 3-for-4 charity stripe shooting by Donette Reed.

The Greyhounds finally answered back with a basket by Cobb at 3:19, ending Loyola's near six-minute scoring drought. Cobb later tied the game at 57-57 with a basket at 1:43. That play was followed by a three-pointer by Loyola's Jill Henn with 58 seconds remaining to give Loyola a 60-57 lead. Manhattan's Nikolettaa Deutsch scored with 35 seconds on the clock for a 60-59 score. Both teams had chances to score in those final seconds but neither team was able to add to their point total.

Cobb finished today's game with 20 points and was followed by Katie Scherle with 14 and Lauren Troupe with 13, all in the second half. Troupe also added 10 rebounds for her first career double-double.Manhattan was led by Mason with 22 and Reed with 10.

First Double-Double
Sophomore Lauren Troupe completed her career double-double at Manhattan with 13 points, all in the first half and 10 rebounds.

Scouting Report: The Red Foxes'
The Red Foxes' currently post two players in double figures with Stephanie DelPreore at 12.9 points per game and Maureen Magarity at 12.7. The duo are also on top of rebounding for Marist, averaging 8.4 and 5.1 boards per game respectively.

For The Greyhounds
On the season, Scherle continues to lead at 11.5 points and six boards per game. She is followed by Troupe in both categories with 11.3 points and 5.5 rebounds. Tied for third are guards Harrington and Cobb with 7.7 points per game each. The duo lead the team in assists with 3.7 and 3.6 respectively. Harrington also leads in steals with 2.4 a game.

Scherle is currently shooting a team-best .493 from the floor while Troupe is tops for the charity stripe at .818.
