Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhounds host Marist in a televised doubleheader with the men's team Saturday. It is the first time since 2001 that Loyola has had a TV game. The women's basketball squad is looking to upend the Red Foxes who as currently first in the league with a 16-6 overall mark and a 10-3 record in the conference.
Marist holds a 14-10 advantage in the series with Loyola. The Red Foxes have won the last five straight games between the two teams including a 64-50 victory earlier this season at the McCann Center.
Katie Scherle continues to lead Loyola with 11.2 points and 6.5 rebounds a game. She is followed by Krystle Harrington with 9.1 points and 4.7 assists a game. Lauren Troupe is next in line with 8.5 points and is third on the team in rebounds with 4.6 a game. Jackie Valderas rounds out the top scorers with 8.2 points and is second-best in rebounds with 4.8 a game.
Marist is led by Fifi Camara's near double-double of 14.9 points and 9.4 rebounds a game. Kristin Keller follows in both categories with 13.8 points and 7.5 rebounds a game. Megan Vetter rounds out the top scorers with 9.2 points a game. Alisa Kresge lead the Red Foxes in the assist column with an average of 5.4 a game.
