Baltimore, Md. - Loyola looks to rebound from its loss at Canisius on February 5 quickly as they host Rider Friday night in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's basketball action. Before falling to the Griffs, the Greyhounds had won five straight games beginning with a 63-47 win while visiting the Broncs on January 19. Prior to the contest, Loyola will honor senior Katie Scherle for reaching 1,000 career points.
The Greyhounds have topped the Broncs 18 out of the 25 times they have met including a 63-47 win in Lawrenceville, N.J. earlier this season. The last Rider victory over Loyola was in the first round of the 2005 MAAC Championships by a score of 60-58. Prior to that game, Loyola had won four straight games in the series.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
Loyola shot 50% from the field and recorded 21 assists on 24 baskets en route to a 63-47 win over Rider on Jan. 19, 2006. Jill Glessner scored a team-high 14 points, 12 in the second half to lead Loyola. Jackie Valderas added 10 points and nine rebounds while five other Greyhounds scored six or more points. Janele Henderson led rider with 15 points including nine off of three pointers in the last two minutes of play.

Janele Henderson leads Rider with an average of 9.3 points per game. She is followed by Kara Borel at eight points and a team-high 7.1 rebounds a game. Point-guard Chris Catalanotto leads the team in assists with an average of 3.2 per game while Borel also leads the team in steals with 1.9 per game.
ABOUT THE `HOUNDS
Lauren Troupe remains in the lead for the Greyhounds in scoring with a season-high average of 11.4 points per game. She is second on the team in rebounds at 5.3. Jill Glessner also averages double-digits in scoring with 10.4 points per game. Brittany Dunn is just shy of averaging double-figures at 9.8 points a game while Krystle Harrington and Jackie Valderas round out the top five scorers with 9.5 points per game. Valderas leads the team in rebounds at 6.6 per game while Harrington is the squads assist leader at 4.5 per game.
