Women's Basketball Returns to Home to Host Fairfield

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola faces Fairfield for the first time this season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference series between the two teams. The Greyhounds post a 6-3 conference record for fourth place while the Stags, coming off two wins are 4-5 for sixth place.

Fairfield leads the series between these two teams 21-14. The squads are meeting for the first time this season and spilt the series in the 2003-04 season with each team winning on its home court.

Loyola is currently led by junior Katie Scherle's 10.9 points and 6.8 rebounds. Krystle Harrington follows with 9.9 points and leads in assists with 4.8. Lauren Troupe rounds out the top scorers with 9.0 points and 5.2 rebounds a game.

Janelle McManus leads Fairfield with 13.2 points and 4.5 assists a game. She is followed by Cathy Dash with 11.6 points and a team best 7.6 rebounds a game. Candice Lindsay rounds out the leading scorers with 9.1 points and 6.8 boards a game.

Both Fairfield and Loyola faced Delaware in the non-conference schedule. The Blue Hens defeated both squads, the Stags 76-54 and the Greyhounds 63-49.
