CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland freshman guard Lisa Mirarchi was named the Anaconda Sports Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, the League office announced today.
Mirarchi has scored in double figures in five consecutive matchups, including this past week against Bucknell and Colgate. She led the team in scoring on Wednesday, tallying 16 points against the Bison. She made 5-of-7 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc.
Three days later, Mirarchi led the Greyhounds to a 61-54 victory over Colgate. The rookie guard scored 10 points, while contributing five assists for the third-consecutive contest.
The West Chester, Pa., native ranks third among the league in free-throw percentage, hitting 87-percent of her attempts from the charity stripe. She is also tied for eighth in steals with teammate Tiffany Padgett.
Mirarchi earned her first Patriot League honor after making the first start of her collegiate career in a 72-62 victory over Howard University on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013.
The Greyhounds return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 29, when they host College of the Holy Cross at 7 p.m.
