Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Siena

Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhounds return home from a four-game road stretch Sunday to host Siena in Reitz Arena in a game broadcast on MAAC TV. Loyola is coming off a win at Rider Thursday night and looks to extend its win streak to two in the first half of the double-header.

SERIES RECORD
Siena leads Loyola in the series that began in the 1985-86 season by 22 games to 14. The two teams have met at least twice in 16 seasons. In those sixteen seasons, one team has swept the regular season series eight times. Siena has swept the series in eight seasons (1989-90, 1991-92, 1993-94, 1997-98, 2000-0 and 2002-03). Loyola has taken two regular seasons series with Siena (1992-93 and 1994-95).

THE LAST TIME THEY MET
Siena topped Loyola 70-58 in Loundonville, N.Y. by building upon its 32-23 halftime lead. Lauren Troupe led Loyola with 15 points and seven rebounds. She was followed by Krystle Harrington with 10 points and five assists. Laura Menty led three Saints in double-figures with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Suber added 18 while Caitlin Dooley chipped in 10.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS
The Saints post two players in double figures with Laura Menty leading the way at 13.1 points per game. Katelyn Dooley is a close second at 12.5 points per game while Whitney Cave and Lauren Suber aren't close off double-figures at 9.1 points per game each. Cave is the squads rebounding leader at 8.3 boards a game. Menty, Dooley, Suber and Cave have each tallied more than 30 assists this season. Dooley leads with 42 total.

ABOUT THE `HOUNDS
Loyola is currently led in scoring by Lauren Troupe's 10.6 points per game. Troupe is second on the team in rebounds with 5.7 per game. Krystle Harrington averages nearly 10 points a game at 9.9 and leads the team in assists with 4.6, Brittany Dunn comes in just behind Harrington at 9.8 points per game and is the `Hounds steals leader with 28 on the season. Jill Glessner and Jackie Valderas are tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 9.3 points per game each. Valderas is also the Greyhounds rebounding (7.5) and blocks (1.6) leader.
