Baltimore, Md- Thursday night Loyola hosts the Rider Broncs for their first meeting this season. The Greyhounds post a 5-10 overall and a 4-2 record in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference which puts them in third place. Rider is 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the MAAC, making them seventh. Loyola holds a 15-6 advantage in the series with Rider that began in 1981 with a 64-53 Greyhound win. Last season the Greyhounds went 2-1 with the Broncs with a win at home and at the MAAC tournament.
Loyola is led by junior point-guard Krystle Harrington who averages 10.2 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game. Katie Scherle is second in scoring with 10.1 points a game while she leads in boards with 6.2 a game. Lauren Troupe rounds out the top three scorers with 8.8 points and 4.7 rebounds a game.
Rider is currently 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the MAAC. Leanne Moore leads the squad in scoring at 12.3 points and in rebounding with 6.7 a game. Katie Hall is second with 10.9 points. Becky Hower is third in points at 9.7 and leads in the assists column at 2.5 a game. Kara Borel is second in rebounds at 6.2.
