Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhounds and the Peahens meet on Martin Luther King Day for an afternoon contest in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup. Loyola is two games up on Saint Peter's in MAAC play with a 3-2 record while Saint Peter's is 1-4 in the conference. The Peahens are one game up on Loyola overall at 5-9 while the Greyhounds are 4-10.
The Peahens hold a large advantage over the Greyhounds in the series, 31-9 since meeting for the first time in 1981. Last season, the squads split the series with each team winning on their own court.
Besides their conference opponents, Saint Peter's and Loyola both faced Howard as a part of their non-conference schedule. The Peahens fell to the Bison in their season opener 68-59 while the Greyhounds dropped their sixth game of the season to Howard 59-53.
Loyola is led by junior point-guard Krystle Harrington who averages 9.9 points, 4.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game. Katie Scherle is second in scoring with 9.6 points a game while she leads in boards with 5.9 a game. Lauren Troupe rounds out the top three scorers with 9.4 points and 4.9 rebounds a game.
Saint Peter's is led by Tiffany Jones with 13.4 points in addition to 5.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Khalisha Lewis also averages double-digits with 11.8 points and a team-high of 7.8 boards a contest. Tyonna Vance adds 9.4 points a game.
