Women's Basketball Travels to Marist

Baltimore, Md. - The Greyhounds travel to face the Red Foxes' Friday night in their fifth Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference contest of the season. Loyola was picked to win the conference this year while Marist picked up the championship trophy in 2004. The Greyhounds are currently listed as second in the conference while Marist is 10th.

Marist holds a few game advantage in the series (13-10) with the Greyhounds that began in the 1985-86 season with a Red Foxes' victory 67-60. The last win the Greyhounds got over Marist was in a 68-61 overtime contest at the McCann Center. The Red Foxes' swept last seasons contest and their last victory over the Greyhounds was at Reitz Arena, 61-58.

Loyola is led by junior point-guard Krystle Harrington who averages 10.1 points, 4.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game. Katie Scherle is second in scoring with 9.9 points a game while she leads in boards with 5.5 a game. Lauren Troupe rounds out the top three scorers with 9.2 points and 5.1 rebounds a game.

Marist is currently 7-6 overall despite a 1-3 conference record. Most recently, the Red Foxes topped Iona 62-49. Fifi Camara leads the team in scoring with 14.2 points and 8.4 rebounds a game. Kristin Keller follows in both categories with 12.8 points and 7.5 rebounds. Alisa Kresege leads in assists and steals with 5.2 and 1.8 a game respectively.

Loyola returns home after facing Marist to host Saint Peter's on Monday, January 17 at 2:00.
