Baltimore, Md. - Senior Lauren Troupe was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Co-Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday. Troupe shares the honor with Siena's Katelyn Dooley.
Troupe earned the honor for the first time in her career by averaging 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds on the week. She led the women's basketball team against both San Diego State with 19 points and Auburn with 20 points. Troupe set back to back season highs in points with those numbers while shooting 61.5% from the floor and 100% from the free-throw line. She earned a spot on the all-tournament and currently ranks second on the Loyola squad in scoring, just 0.1 off the leader, at 10.1 points per game and ranks second in rebounds at 5.7 per game.
The Greyhounds return to MAAC action on Thursday, January 5 when they host Saint Peter's at 4:00.
