Head Coach Joe Logan -
"I was very proud of our defensive effort, not just tonight, but all weekend. We held two teams that have the capability to score a lot of points in the fifties. In the second half, especially (against Canisius), we did a good job of keeping them from getting good looks. They were only 4-of-14 from 3-point (range), and that was something we were concerned about going into the game.
On the play of Siobhan Prior:
"Siobhan made some big shots against Niagara, and hopefully that gave her more confidence," Logan said. "She really stepped up today, and she made some of those big shots. Hopefully, this puts her into t a groove shooting the ball.
On the play of Kaitlin Grant:
"Kaitlin hit some shots from the baseline that were big for us. She has done that in a couple of games, and we need for her to continue to do that.
"Over the next few weeks, we need to get more consistent. We go on runs offensively, but then we will give up points on defense or turn the ball over four times in a row."
Sophomore forward Kaitlin Grant -
"Our offense allows us to do a lot of different things. Coach lets us work it freely, so that we can get looks from different places. I have hit that shot (a mid-range baseline jumper) a million times in practice, and so I knew that I could hit it in a game.
"The coaches have been telling me that it is my time to step up and play big. I figured that I might as well take their advice and do what I needed to do.
On the Greyhounds' second half defense:
"We worked hard on hedging on screens, and we didn't let them get open looks off of the screens in the second half. We need to work on boxing out, but overall we had an excellent team effort on defense."
