Baltimore, Md. - Senior Siobhan Prior goes 4-4 behind the arc to tie her all-time threes per game to help Loyola take a 86-78 over Rider on Sunday afternoon. This is the most points the Greyhounds have scored as a team all season.
After leading the Broncs by 13 early in the second, Loyola fell back a bit and allowed Rider to go on an 18-8 run led by junior Tammy Meyers, to put the Broncs within one with about 10 minutes left in the game. Meyers finished the game with a game-high 25 points.
Prior then stepped up for the Greyhounds with a quick layup and then sunk her fourth three-pointer to push Loyola's lead to six at 63-57. Rider was then unable to come any closer than four points behind the Greyhounds, and Loyola takes the victory.
This is the second 20-point game for Prior, as she finished the day with 21 total points,. Freshman Miriam McKenzie had a big game from the bench, finishing with 11 total points in 12 minutes of play. Sophomore Candice Walker had 14 total points and sophomore Meredith Tolley had 11.
