Loyola Head Coach Joe Logan -

"Their post players did a good job offensively. We have to improve our post defense, but I was glad that we showed a lot of fight in the last part of the second half. I thought that we really showed a lot of fight, but we can't get ourselves into those situations.

"We need to improve offensively; we shot 30-percent today. We made our free throws, and we made more than they took, but we did not shoot the ball well.

"We are going to need to bounce back against Mount St. Mary's and put 40 minutes together.

On Pennsylvania's post play:
"They got the ball to (Katarina Lackner) deep, and she was able to make those shots. We were able to double-down on her, but she was still able to hit that hook shot. They posts outplayed our posts. We are still very young, but we just need to get better every game.

On the play of freshman guard Candice Walker:
"Candice is at maybe 50- or 60-percent (because of the groin injury she suffered last week). She was trying to do everything tonight, but she showed a lot of heart and put forth a great effort. She needs to get healthy, but she still played a great game tonight.

"We are a highly volatile team right now, and we need to get into a rotation (of players). Tynisha (Davis) has a chance to be a big part of that, especially defensively. She has the ability to get to the basket about pretty much anyone she is being guarded by."
