Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola Greyhounds earned their third straight victory with a 74-55 win over the Rider Broncs on Sunday afternoon at Reitz Arena. Senior center Vanessa Ruffin scored a game high 17 points and set a new career record while the `Hounds defense forced 25 turnovers and held the Broncs to just 1-for-10 shooting from downtown.

Rider jumped out to an early 5-4 lead but a 12-2 run by Loyola led by junior forward Vika Sholokhova's six points gave the `Hounds a nine-point advantage which they would not relinquish. Senior guards Jill Glessner and Brittany Dunn led the attack with eight points each.

In the second half both teams battled as they traded baskets for the majority of the period. Rider's Shaunice Parker attempted to bring the Broncs back in the game scoring all of her 15 points in the final 20 minutes. But Ruffin took over for the `Hounds scoring 12 points off 5-for-6 shooting from the field.

Ruffin finished with 17 points and two rebounds. Glessner collected 14 points and seven boards while Sholokhova ended with 14 points, eight rebounds and a game-high five assists.
