Tennis Season Opener Delayed

Sept. 15, 2004

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola's men's tennis season opener has been delayed due to inclement weather. The Greyhounds, scheduled to play Coppin State at 3 p.m. today, will face the Baltimore rival tomorrow (Thursday) on CSU's campus. Match time remains 3 p.m.

The men's tennis team is coming off an injury-plagued 2003-04 in which it finished with an 11-12 overall record. The Greyhounds took sixth place at the MAAC Championships, but did begin the season 4-0 and defeated Coppin State, 7-0, to commence last fall.

Both the men's and women's teams will be in action this weekend as well. The men play in the ECAC Tournament on Saturday and Sunday and the Loyola women compete in the Towson Tiger Classic this Friday and Saturday.
