WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sophomore Ben Epstein advanced to the semifinals of the Flight "B" Singles bracket as the Greyhound men's tennis team competed at the D.C. Metro Championships presented by Georgetown University this past weekend.
Epstein won his opening round match against Jeff Lamberton of Mount St. Mary's with a straight set victory before earning a 6-4, 6-3 win over American University's Daniel Frid in the second round.
In the semifinals, Epstein lost to Georgetown's Bert Baggio after retiring in the second set.
Epstein teamed up with sophomore Scott Gannon to advance to the second round of the Men's "B" Doubles bracket before suffering an 8-2 setback against Georgetown.
The Greyhounds return to action next Monday afternoon when they face Morgan State at 3:00 p.m.
