Men's Tennis Places Sixth At MAAC Championships

Flushing, N.Y. - On Sunday afternoon in Flushing, N.Y., the Loyola men's tennis fell to Siena College, 5-2, in a MAAC Championship consolation game. Loyola took 2-of-3 doubles matches, while John Curren notched a victory in singles play.

Both the No.1 and No.3 doubles teams for the Greyhounds won their matches. Nick Bowers and Dan Schiemel outlasted their opponents, 8-6, while Adam Wessinger and Turner Bailey breezed through their match, 8-2.

John Curren continued his solid performance at MAAC Championship, by netting a 6-4, 6-1 victory, and earning the Greyhound their only singles' win. Curren has led the Greyhounds throughout the tournament, by winning all of his singles matches in the Championship.

With the loss on Sunday, Loyola ends the season with sixth place finish at the MAAC Championship.
