Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's and women's tennis teams fell to conference foe Marist on Sunday afternoon at the Butler Courts. The women, now 6-5 overall, fell 5-2, while the men drop to 6-8 overall with a 7-0 loss to the Red Foxes.
Both of Loyola's points came in women's singles' action, where the Greyhounds captured a pair of three-set match victories. Senior Amy Nitch won her match, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 to improve to 2-0 in MAAC singles matches this season.
Senior Stefanie Clay, now 8-6 in singles competition, won 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 to give the `Hounds their second point of the afternoon.
Both the men and women will be in action this Wednesday, April 5 when they travel to UMES for a non-conference match at 2 p.m.
