Wednesday’s Contest
• The Greyhounds are in the middle of a three-game road swing. They started the trip with a 1-0 loss at Campbell on Saturday.
• This will mark the first time that Loyola and Drexel have met in men’s soccer.   

Familial Ties
• Sophomore Brennan Goldsmith will recognize a familiar face on the Dragons’ bench on Wednesday, as his brother, Connor, is a senior at Drexel this year.  

Loyola Men’s Soccer
• Loyola is in its 72nd season as a men’s soccer program, and its 33rd year of competition as an NCAA Division I program.
• The 2013 season was Loyola’s inaugural year as a member of the Patriot League, while 2014 will mark the first year the Greyhounds will compete under new head coach Steve Nichols.
• Prior to joining the Patriot League, Loyola was a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for 24 years, posting an overall record of 167-24-8 in conference games from 1989-2012. Loyola also claimed 16 regular-season titles and 12 MAAC Tournament titles.  

Last Time Out
• Loyola dropped a 1-0 decision to Campbell in its first contest of a three-game road trip.
• The Camels’ Bradley Farias drew three Greyhound defenders just inside the top left corner of the box. A scramble ensued between the two teams and resulted in a simultaneous sliding shot from the Camels and a clearance attempt by the Greyhounds being deflected over the top of Loyola goalkeeper Matt Sanchez’s head and into the back of the net for the game’s lone goal.  

Loyola Greyhounds
• Loyola began the year with a 2-0 loss at St. Francis (Pa.), a 2013 NCAA Tournament participant, but responded for a 1-0 win over Howard in its home opener. The Greyhounds then dropped a 1-0 decision at Campbell in its most recent outing.
• Senior Connor Thompson is the lone Greyhound to score this season, while sophomore Laurin Vogel assisted his goal vs. the Bison.
• Sophomore transfer Matt Sanchez has played all 270 minutes and has recorded one shutout.
• Five players made their debuts as Greyhounds vs. St. Francis; Sanchez in goal, sophomore midfielder John Toher, sophomore transfer Dolu Oyewole, sophomore Dylan Engel and freshman Brad Warenicz.
• Freshman Danny Mooney earned his first action at Campbell.  

Drexel Dragons
• The Dragons (2-1) are coming off their first loss of the season, a 2-0 setback at Penn, on Friday.
• Drexel opened the season with a 1-0 overtime win at Temple and followed it up with a 1-0 win over Villanova at Vidas Field.
• Joaquin del Rosario leads the Dragons with one goal and one assist. Michele Patala has also scored one goal this season, while John Grosh has contributed one assist.
• Tyler Afflerbach has played all 272:31 minutes in goal, posting a 0.66 goals-against average and a .867 save percentage to go with 13 saves.  

Series Record
• This will mark the first time that Loyola and Drexel have met in men’s soccer.

• Loyola will conclude its three-game road trip at Stetson on Saturday.
