Men's Soccer Ascends in National Polls

Sept. 3, 2008

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola's Men's Soccer team received some well deserved recognition following its weekend sweep at the Black & Decker Soccer Classic by maintaining its spot at the top of the NSCAA/adidas North Atlantic Region poll while nesting 25th nationally in the College Soccer News Top 30. The Greyhounds are receiving votes in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 national poll, earning enough to be ranked 26th overall.

The ascension in the College Soccer News poll to 25th came after being ranked 28th in the preseason poll. Loyola was 30th in the NSCAA/adidas preseason poll with 11 points but climbed to 26th in the poll's first week with 47 votes. Wake Forest tops both polls.

The Greyhounds visit Towson University on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. for their next action.
