Men's Soccer Ranked No. 5 In South Atlantic Region

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola College men's soccer team moved from the unranked to a No. 5 position in the South Atlantic Region after a 1-0 upset victory over No. 22 Syracuse in the season opener last Saturday.

The Greyhounds occupy the No. 5 spot in the regional rankings while Maryland remains No. 1 with a 2-0 overall record. Loyola is 1-0 thanks to junior Kevin Nash's overtime goal at 98:04. Nash's header off of freshman Danny Wheelan's corner kick gave the 'Hounds the overtime win. Junior Greg Peters got the win and the shutout while making his first career start in goal.

Loyola heads north to Towson this weekend for the Battle of Baltimore. The Greyhounds face Navy at 1 p.m. this Friday.
