Aug. 5, 2009

Three members of the Loyola Men's Soccer team that advanced to the second round of the 2008 NCAA College Cup helped the Baltimore Casa Mia Bays win the James P. McGuire Cup, the oldest youth sports trophy in the nation.

Junior Mike Deasel, sophomores Mark Jaskolski and Vincent Dipino and the Bays won the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship in the Under-19 division in Lancaster, Mass.

Jaskolski scored the first, and eventual game-winning, goal of the title match against the NASA 08 Elite from Georgia. He scored in the 45th minute to post a 1-0 advantage for the Bays, who went on to a 2-0 victory.

The Casa Mia Bays finish their youth careers with wild success, having won USYSA National titles in each of the last four seasons.
