The teams from the English Premier League and Italy's Serie A League, respectively, will face off on Friday, July 24, 2009, at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium.

Mettrick and Carlson discussed the impact of the match on the Baltimore and Maryland soccer communities and the popularity of soccer in the region in a piece entitled "Baltimore Preps For Soccer Enthusiasts."

The event, which is an exhibition match between the two clubs, will be the first soccer match played at the stadium.

Mettrick, who will start his 10th season at Loyola when the Greyhounds take on Villanova September 1 in the season-opener, will join 30 Loyola men's soccer alumni and friends of the program at the match next week.
