Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's soccer team has announced its 2007 season schedule, which features the Loyola College "Black and Decker" Soccer Classic in early September, and a homecoming game against local foe UMBC later in the month. For a complete schedule, click on 2007 Schedule.
The Greyhounds open the year with Princeton, traveling to central New Jersey for an August 31 match against Tigers in Tiger Stadium. Loyola will then open its home slate by hosting the Loyola College "Black and Decker" Soccer Classic from September 7-9 with home matches against Adelphi and Charles Street Rival Towson.
Other non-conference home matches include a September 14 showdown with George Washington and a homecoming event against UMBC on September 29. On the road the Greyhounds will face Fordham (Sept. 2) and Hofstra (Sept. 16) before traveling to Oregon for the Oregon State Soccer Tournament September 21-22 in Corvallis, Ore.
Loyola will face MAAC foes Fairfield, Iona, Rider, Canisius and Niagara at home this season with its Nov. 4 match against the Purple Eagles concluding the regular season. The MAAC Tournament returns to Disney this season with all 10 conference teams traveling to Orlando in mid-November for a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
