BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland men's soccer assistant coach Michael Marchiano has been hired as the manager of the Baltimore Bohemians for the 2016 season, as announced by the club.
The Bohs were founded in 2011 and began play in 2012. The club competes in the Premier Development League, which is the top developmental league in North America. The PDL is part of United Soccer Leagues, which also administers USL-Pro, MISL, W-League and Youth Competitions.
As the highest level of outdoor soccer in the State of Maryland, the Bohs aim to give young players an opportunity to showcase their talent on a bigger stage.
Loyola head coach Steve Nichols was the club's manager for its inaugural season before stepping down to coach the Greyhounds. Marchiano will replace former US National Team Member Santino Quaranta as manager.
The team's home field is Cedar Lane in Bel Air, Maryland.
