POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Eddie Dines scored with less than three minutes left in regulation, and Loyola played host Marist to a 2-2 double overtime tie on Friday night in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.

Jamie Darvill headed a ball to the ground that Dines finished for a goal at the 87:20 mark.

Dines' goal came just over six minutes after the Red Foxes' Krystian Witkowski came up with the ball inside the Loyola (6-6-2 overall, 3-0-1 MAAC) defensive end and touched the ball in for a goal inside the six-yard box.

Earlier in the second half, Marist (6-6-2, 2-2-1) took a 1-0 lead as Stephan Brossard took a through ball from Witkowski and scored in the 55th minute.

The Red Foxes' lead was brief, however, as just 36 seconds later, Wade McHugh touched a ball to Glenn Leitch, and Leitch scored at the near post from eight yards out, making it a 1-1 game.

Loyola had a chance to win the match in the first overtime, but Gerwyn Jones' shot off a corner kick went over the crossbar in the 93rd minute. Marist had two shots in the extra time, one in each overtime.

Marist outshot the Greyhounds, 15-13. Kyle Wittman made five saves, one in the second overtime, for Loyola.

The Greyhounds continue their MAAC road trip on Sunday, October 25, 2009, when they travel to Loudonville, N.Y., and face Siena at 11 a.m.
