BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse has unveiled its 2016 regular-season schedule that includes home games against Johns Hopkins University and Duke University, as well as four home Patriot League contests.

"We are excited to get started with our schedule in February; we have put together what we think is a very challenging set of non-conference games that will prepare us for another difficult Patriot League schedule," said Charley Toomey, Loyola's head coach.
The Greyhounds open the regular-season with a Saturday, Feb. 13, affair in Charlottesville against the University of Virginia, continuing a series that has featured one-goal games each of the last two seasons.
Johns Hopkins will make its bi-annual visit to Ridley Athletic Complex on Saturday, Feb. 20, marking the 53rd time the programs have met on the lacrosse pitch.
Patriot League play commences a week later when Loyola hosts Lafayette College on Saturday, Feb. 27; the Greyhounds next play their first mid-week game of the season, hosting Towson University on Wednesday, March 2.
Loyola travel to Worcester, Massachusetts, on Saturday, March 5, to face College of the Holy Cross in its next conference contest.
The Greyhounds welcome Duke University to Ridley Athletic Complex on Saturday, March 12, a game that features two of the last three NCAA Champions.
A pair of nearby road games are up next for Loyola, as the Greyhounds travel to Annapolis, Maryland, Saturday, March 19, to face the U.S. Naval Academy before taking on Georgetown University on Wednesday, March 23, in Washington, D.C.
Bucknell University visits Ridley Athletic Complex Saturday, March 26, before the Greyhounds head back on the road for their next two Patriot League games: Sunday, April 3, at Colgate University and Saturday, April 9, at Lehigh University.
Two Patriot League foes come to Baltimore to close the regular-season schedule. Loyola hosts Boston University on Saturday, April 16, and the regular-season finale will be Friday, April 22, against the U.S. Military Academy.
Competition in the Patriot League Championships starts Tuesday, April 26, with quarterfinal action. The top six teams in the regular-season standings will make the tournament with the champions and runner-up receiving quarterfinal byes. The quarterfinal games will be played at the site of each contest's higher seed. The regular-season champion will host the semifinals and championship game Friday, April 29, and Saturday, May 1.
