BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse, which has won its last eight games and captured the 2016 Patriot League Championships, will host Duke University on Saturday, May 14, at Ridley Athletic Complex in the NCAA Championships First Round. Faceoff will be at 12 noon on ESPNU.

The Greyhounds finished the regular-season with a 12-3 record and defeated the U.S. Military Academy, 14-6, in the Patriot League title game. Loyola earned the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Championships.

The game will be a matchup of NCAA First Round games that the Blue Devils won in 2007 and 2013. Those games, however, were played in Durham, North Carolina at Duke's Koskinen Stadium.

This seasons, the teams met on March 12 in Baltimore, a game in which Duke used a 6-0 run that covered both halves to post a 15-6 victory.

Through the end of the regular-season, Loyola's defense is ranked seventh in NCAA Division I, allowing just 7.87 goals per game. The Greyhounds' offense has averaged 10.53 goals throughout the season, 11.5 over the last four games.

Tickets will be available for the game on Monday via LoyolaGreyhounds.com.
