BALTIMORE - In Friday's Baltimore Sun, Edward Lee profiles Loyola senior P.T. Ricci. Lee, the Sun's lacrosse beat, writes about the long-stick midfielder's importance to the Greyhounds and his "forte of gobbling up ground balls."

Ricci, a preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse, has a penchant for just that. He is currently third in the nation in groundball average-a-game, scooping 87 on the year, currently fifth on the Loyola single-season list. He has a real possibility of breaking Peter Haas' 106 groundballs set during the 1998 season.
Ricci also leads the No. 13 Greyhounds (9-4) with 49 caused turnovers. Loyola closes out the season on Saturday with a short trip down Charles Street to face sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins (8-4) at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ABC-2/ESPNU.
The NCAA lacrosse selection show will be held on Sunday evening at 9 p.m. and shown on ESPNU.
