Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's lacrosse team welcomes Siena to Diane Geppi-Aikens Field this Tuesday for a non-conference tilt. Both teams enter with 3-2 overall records and will look to pick up momentum heading into their weekend contests. Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
The Greyhounds are coming off an 11-8 win at St. John's on Saturday and take a mid-week break from ECAC play, where they are 2-0 this season. Loyola's success in the face-off X and ability to score early has benefited the Greyhounds in their victories this season.
Senior Tim McDermott and junior Michael Atkinson have been solid as face-off men, helping the Greyhounds win over 57 percent of their attempts this season. The Greyhounds, who jumped out to 9-1 lead on St. John's, are 3-0 when leading at the half.
Sophomore Cooper MacDonnell, who scored three goals against the Red Storm, has been the offensive story for Loyola with a team-high 11 goals on the year. Senior Shane Koppens and freshman Matt Langan each have six goals this season while four `Hounds have contributed at least three goals.
Tuesday's game is Loyola's only remaining home game in the month of March. The Greyhounds, who play at UMass and Syracuse the next two Saturday's, will not return home again until April 5.
General admission tickets are available for $7. For ticket information, please call the Loyola ticket office at (410) 617-5013.
