Sunday Events Postponed Due To Weather

A busy Sunday afternoon at Loyola College has been postponed due to weather. Loyola's men's-women's lacrosse doubleheader and Catholic League basketball games slated for today have been moved to Monday at Diane Geppi-Aikens Field and Reitz Arena..

Loyola men's lacrosse game against Towson University, and the women's lacrosse game versus Hofstra will be played on Monday with the women's game starting at noon. The men will play at 3 p.m.

The Loyola-Hofstra game will mark start of Loyola's 35th season of women's lacrosse. The Greyhounds, who have 357 wins versus 171 all-time losses, have a 4-2 all-time record against the Pride

Monday's rescheduled men's game will be Loyola's home opener and the season opener for Towson. The Greyhounds enter the week ranked 16th in the media poll, while Towson is 13th to start the year.

The Loyola-Towson rivalry is 48 games old with the Tigers holding a slight 26-22 series edge. Towson has won the last two meetings by a combined three goals.

The Baltimore Catholic League games will begin at 3:30 on Monday with Towson Catholic taking on Goretti. The St. Francis vs. Spalding game will take place at 5:15 p.m., followed by Mount Saint Joe's vs. Loyola (7 p.m.) and Gibbons vs. Calvert Hall at 8:45 p.m.

Tuesday's Catholic League games are slated for 7 and 8:45 p.m., while the Championship Game will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Should Loyola College be closed tomorrow - the Catholic League Tournament will also be postponed.
