Baltimore Lacrosse Coaches Featured In ESPN Zone Face-Off

Feb. 5, 2008

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola Head Coach Charley Toomey will join head men's lacrosse coaches from Johns Hopkins, Towson and UMBC at the Baltimore ESPN Zone for a question and answer session on Wednesday, February 20 at 12:30 p.m. The unofficial Face-Off event will be open to the public and include give-away items and winnable ticket packages.

Scott Garceau, Sports Director of WMAR-TV, will host the question and answer session. Garceau is one of the primary announcers for ESPNU, which will carry Loyola's games versus Towson, Duke and Johns Hopkins this season.

The Greyhounds, behind third-year coach Charley Toomey, begin their 2008 campaign the weekend before when they host Notre Dame at Diane Geppi-Aikens Field. Both Loyola and Notre Dame advanced to the NCAA Tournament and enter the season with Top-20 national ranking in the polls.

In fact, all four Baltimore teams earned NCAA Tournament bids in 2007, including the eventual national champion Johns Hopkins. All four coaches will also be featured live on The Mark Viviano Show on ESPN Radio 1300 (WJFK-AM) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The show will be broadcast live from the ESPN Zone that day.
