Men's Golf Ranked Seventh In District Rankings

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola College men's golf team earned a No. 7 ranking in this week's Golfweek District 2 rankings. The Greyhounds, off a 37-9 start this season, have finished first, fifth and sixth in three tournaments this year.

The Greyhounds won their season opening tournament at Navy, topping the field with a two-day score of 576. Loyola then placed sixth at the Towson Invitational and took fifth out of 20 teams at the Sea Trail Invitational in Sunset Beach, N.C. on September 23-24.

St. John's is atop the District 2 rankings with Penn State, Maryland and Villanova rounding out the top four. Loyola is in action today and tomorrow at the Joe Agee Invitational in Williamsburg, Va.
