Aug. 3, 2011

NORMAN, Okla. - The Loyola University Maryland men's golf team has been honored as an All-Academic Team, as announced Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). This marks the second-straight year the Greyhounds have been honored as an All-Academic Team by the association.

Loyola (Md.) is one of 111 teams from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA to attain GCAA All-Academic status, which goes to teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The Greyhounds were also one of just 65 programs in the NCAA Division I to be recognized.

GCAA All-Academic Team honors are calculated from grade points earned and hours attempted for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
