Baltimore, Md. - Incoming freshman Jay Mulieri posted rounds of 70-68-67 to the Bobby Worsham Memorial Golf Tournament this past weekend. Mulieri, who is the younger brother of senior captain Michael Mulieri, also won the tournament in 2006.
Mulieri's sub-par rounds came at Woodmont, garnering him his first win of the summer. The Bobby Worsham tournament, formerly dubbed simply "The Schoolboy," took on the name of its founder after his death in 1982. Past champions include former PGA commissioner Deane Beman (1955-56).
Jay and his brother Michael, who were featured in the Press Box earlier this month, continue their summer tournaments in preparation for the college golf season, where they will lead Loyola's defense of its 2007 MAAC crown.
