Men's Golf Signs Keith Hall and Alex Redfearn For 2007-08

June 4, 2007

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's golf team has signed a pair of incoming freshman for the 2007-08 college golf season. Head Coach Tom Beidleman bolsters his lineup with the addition of Keith Hall and Alex Redfearn, who join the Greyhounds this fall.

"I fully expect both Alex [Redfearn] and Keith [Hall] to have an immediate impact this fall and could not be happier to have them at Loyola," says Coach Beidleman.

Hall is a local product from Gonzaga Prep, where he earned WCAC Championship Medalist honors and was named a first-team All-Met golfer. Hall, who had an eagle on the final hole to win the WCAC title, also played on the Plantations Junior Tour, and won the 2007 championship. He claimed three tour events en route to the tour's individual title.

Redfearn is from Boynton Beach, Fla., where he attended Pope John Paul II High School. He captained his team this past season and took medalist honors at the Boca Cup Invitational. Redfearn tied three school records this season and for the second year in a row was named a first-team all-conference honoree. He also qualified for the Florida State Amateur last summer.

"Both of these young men bring not only tremendous talent to the squad, but also fantastic work ethic and enthusiasm," adds Coach Beidleman. "These qualities are essential for long-term success."

The Greyhounds posted three team titles and three runner-up finishes in 2006-07 and graduate one player - senior captain Will Shriver - from the roster for 2007-08.
