Baltimore, Md. - Loyola's golf team returns to action for the first time in a month when it tees it up at the Jackrabbit Invitational Monday and Tuesday on the Desert Course at the Primm Valley Golf Club just south of Primm, Nev. The Greyhounds are one of 16 men's teams taking part in the 54-hole event which is being hosted by South Dakota State.
Forming the five-person team for Loyola are junior Alex Redfearn, sophomores Ryan McCarthy, Patrick McCormick and Jay Mulieri and freshman Jason Burton. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and finish with 18 holes on Tuesday. The Desert Course measures out at 7,065 yards and plays to a par 71. It was the site of the inaugural World Series of Golf tournament in 2007.
Last month, the Greyhounds placed third at the Carlton Oaks Invitational with Redfearn finishing tied for fourth for the highest Loyola finish and Burton ending up solo ninth for his best final standing.
